PT Arutmin Indonesia Receives Six Health-and-Safety-at-Work Awards

In October 2009, PT Arutmin Indonesia was applauded with six awards
from Department of Labor and Transmigration of the Republic of
Indonesia for its program of Health and Safety at Work (K3). The
Minister of Labor and Transmigration of Republic of Indonesia, Mr.
Erman Suparno, gave the award in Jakarta in the mid-October 2009. 

Each management of the Arutmi''s award-winning mining sites received the awards. The six awards consisted of:

  1. Arutmin's Satui Mine won two awards of the Zero
    Accident Award (ZAA) for successfully scoring no LTI within four years
    and the Golden Flag Award (GFA) based on the audit result of SMK3,
    which reached over 85%.
  2. Arutmin's Senakin Mine won two awards of ZAA for successfully scoring no LTI in more than five years and GFA
  3. Arutmin's Batulicin Mine won GFA
  4. Arutmin's NPLCT also received GFA 

On the same occasion, the Governor of South Kalimantan, Rudy Ariffin,
also received the award of K3 Patron for South Kalimantan area. This
was to certify his achievement as many companies located in South
Kalimantan won K3 awards.
